2. Getting a quote in your browser

When you use our quote tool, your choices — document type, languages, page count, and any file you attach — are used in your browser to calculate a price. Your uploaded document stays on your device and is not sent to our servers while you are exploring your quote. We may store your language preference in your browser so the site opens in your chosen language.

3. Order and contact details

When you place an order, we collect your name, email address, postal address, and order details (document type, languages, turnaround, and price). We use this information to fulfil your order, communicate with you about your translation, and meet tax and accounting obligations.

4. Your uploaded document

If you attached a document while requesting a quote, we receive it only when you submit your order at checkout — not before. We use your document solely to review it, prepare your sworn translation, and deliver the service you ordered. We do not use your documents for marketing or share them with third parties except as needed to fulfil your order (for example, postal delivery).

5. Payment

Online payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card or bank details. Stripe handles payment data under its own privacy policy.

6. How long we keep data

We keep order and contact information for as long as needed to fulfil your order and meet legal retention requirements. Documents are retained for the period needed to complete your translation and handle any follow-up questions, then deleted unless we are required to keep them longer by law.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, restrict processing, and lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Contact us at info@mokumvertalen.nl to exercise these rights.
